CHASING LIGHT out now!

My newest single CHASING LIGHT from my forthcoming album "I Never Said a Word" (out September 19) is out in the world for you to hear today, in all the usual places.

This song was written to honour the memory of a beautiful young man who I loved very much when I was a teenager. He lost his life to suicide and I still feel the presence of the lonely grief that followed his death more than 20 years later.

Chasing Light was held really tenderly by everyone who played on it, and I’m so grateful to them all. The track features Alexander Gow on electric guitar and bass, Joshie Jones on additional bass , Pete Carr on acoustic guitar, and my incredible producer Rohan Sforcina (who worked particularly hard on this song to get the colour and the tone of the track just right) on drums and synth. Mastered by Lachlan Carrick.

I especially want to thank Alexander Gow who helped me in the early stages of the songwriting process of this song - his suggestions took this song from a few ideas I was trying to cobble together into this piece that I'm really proud of.
