Magic Moment wins Battle of the Chatabands!

Well, this has been bloody lovely!

In mid-January, my song MAGIC MOMENT was played on @chatabixpodcast Battle of the Chatabands final, alongside some excellent tracks by Seadog and Lisa Osborne. For anyone interested, MAGIC MOMENT was the first single from my album I Never Said a Word, that I released last year. It had been so long since I'd put anything new out into the world and I was terrified to share this song, worried that motherhood/years away from the industry/a pandemic/real life/being in my late 30s had made me and my music completely irrelevant. But everyone's response at the time was so beautiful and made me realise I still had something to share and say. Thank you!

I am so grateful to everyone who heard the song on the podcast and has since reached out and said such nice things to me. Being an independent artist is SO HARD. We basically do everything oursleves and never really know if we are getting anywhere. But the kindness that has come my way since the podcast episode aired has reminded me that the main reason I make music is to connect with people, so perhaps I am doing something right ❤️
